The printer profile we created is based on the settings provided by Prusa Research in their customized image of OctoPi. OctoPrint also works with similar boards like the Orange Pi, Banana Pi, and BeagleBone. ![]() A Raspberry Pi Zero W can be added to their 3D printers and they provide a customized image of OctoPi for their printers. OctoPrint recommends the Raspberry Pi 3B, 3B+, or 4B and strongly discourages the use of the Raspberry Pi Zero W due to severe performance issues. Prusa Research by Josef Prusa actively supports OctoPrint. ![]() It is stated on their webpage that if you run Octoprint. We downloaded and installed etcher etcher.io to burn the OctoPi image to the SD card. Octoprint recommends the Raspberry Pi 3B, 3B+, 4B, or the Zero 2 W to run Octoprint without any hitches. We purchased a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (33,99 EURO) with a Power Supply (8.99 EURO), a SanDisk Extreme 32GB Micro-SDHC card (22.99 EURO), and a Logitech C920 HD Webcam (39,00 EURO) with a Cullmann Alpha 15 Mini Tripod with Ball Head (6,99 EURO) for a total of 112 EURO from Amazon and it took us under 30 minutes to set it up. We downloaded OctoPi, a Raspbian based SD card image for the Raspberry Pi that already includes OctoPrint and everything required to run it, which is maintained by Guy Sheffer. Gina Häußge created and maintains OctoPrint, a snappy web interface for 3D printers.
